THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number PDD0795000 and is part of the WY 153d Maintenance Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard.

This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Primary consideration will be made from Areas 1, 2, and 4.

If referrals are not made from the target category, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible).

Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 MXS.

Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard.

Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.

Area 6: Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units.

Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of mechanical maintenance work; ability to read and use technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams and schematics, and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing equipment.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts, components, and accessories.

Experience which provided working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to powered support equipment and systems; and skill to replace, fit, install, and adjust.

Experience which provided working knowledge of the makeup and operation of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelationships.

Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufacturers' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics.

In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel.

Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function.

Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes.

Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

Applicants must provide from MM/YYYY - MM/YYYY (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.

COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2A692, Aerospace Ground Equipment Specialist.

Enlisted 2A692 ASVAB Requirements: Must possess a minimum score of "47" on the Mechanical AND a minimum score of "46" on the Electronics portions of the ASVAB.

Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333132. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid state's driver's license. Major Duties:

The purpose is to supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders and/or supervisors, in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated nonsupervisory work.

The occupation and nonsupervisory grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is Powered Support Systems Mechanic, WG-5378-10. 1) Planning.

Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies.

Determines skills, materials and equipment required to do the work. 2) Assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures.

Instruct subordinates on new procedures or methods and provides assistance on difficult or new problem areas. 3) Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies.

Schedule and approve leave for subordinates. Sets performance requirements and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.

Determines training needs of subordinates and arranges for its accomplishment. 4) Performs the nonsupervisory work of the function as needed. 5) Implements safety regulatory requirements.

Ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **
