Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have the ability to supervise. Must have current and valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Professional Rescue (PR) and First Aid certificates.
Water Safety Instructor Certificate and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certifications is desirable. All certifications must remain current during the period of employment.
Must have experience in cash handling. Major Duties:
Responsible for all activities within the swimming pool area. Responsible for supervising all lifeguards and cashiers. Supervises all pool areas including bathhouse, deck, lockers, showers, etc.
to ensure compliance with established schedules, instructions and sanitation requirements. Develops work schedules and submits timesheets for accurate payroll payments.
Develops and maintains ongoing in-service training for all employees. Applies established safety requirements.
Maintains currency and applies a variety of techniques such as rescuer breathing, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first aid as required to respond to any type of safety incident.
Monitors and documents pool water chemistry (temperature, free chlorine, pH, clarity) according to guidelines. Works non-regular shifts including nights and weekends.
