This job is a temporary detail opportunity for a policy analyst in the federal government, focusing on managing and improving policies for government-owned real estate and property assets.
The role involves working with other agencies to review plans, attend meetings, and advise on laws related to federal property use.

This position is located in the Office of Federal Financial Management, Federal Financial Assistance Branch, Office of Management and Budget (OMB),reporting to the Financial Assistance and Real Property Branch Chief.
Performing a wide range of policy-related work, technical and administrative support services duties related to the Real Property portfolio.

AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
For the GS-14: Must currently hold a GS-14 grade level or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience related to the duties listed in this announcement.
For the GS-15: Must currently hold a GS-15 grade level or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience related to the duties listed in this announcement.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
This is a Non-Reimbursable Detail Opportunity for six
or greater months. If selected, your management and branch must concur with the non-reimbursable detail. A MOU will be signed between your branch and the agency. Relocation expenses will not be paid.
The Detailee of this position reports directly to the Financial Assistance and Real Property Branch Chief in the Office of Federal Financial Management (OFFM) performing a wide range of policy-related work, technical and administrative support services duties and responsibilities related to the Real Property portfolio that are essential to the efficient operation of the agency, its mission, and in direct support of OMB staff across the White House Complex.
There will be significant flexibility for the candidate to work with OFFM and OMB leadership on a variety of issues within the areas of responsibility under the Financial Assistance and Real Property Branch.
As a Policy Analyst (Detail Opportunity), GS-0301-14/15, your typical work assignments may include the following: Assists with the performance of a wide range of policy-related, administrative and technical duties related to essential support services, programs and activities overseeing the Real Property Portfolio for the Office of Management and Budget.
Works closely with the General Services Administration (GSA) and OMB stakeholders to coordinate real property policy development and implementation including reviewing and providing feedback on Real Property Capital Plans, USE IT Act requirements, real property data governance, and the Federal Real Property Profile.
Plays an active role in Real Property related meetings, including the Federal Real Property Council, in concert with GSA.
Reviews and provides technical assistance to proposed legislation impacting Real Property across the Federal government. Performs other tasks as assigned.
