This job involves leading a team of product managers and IT managers who oversee business systems analysts, helping to deliver technology projects and improve services across King County's agencies.
The role focuses on providing strategic direction, coaching staff, and collaborating with partners to boost product quality, employee morale, and customer satisfaction.

Leadership
Oversee all activities of the Product Management and Analysis (PMA Team) to ensure effective delivery contributes to the achievement of KCIT and BASe strategic goals and objectives.
Be recognized as a resource across KCIT and by Agency Partners – known to possess and expertly apply a deep understanding of PMA roles, performance, products supported, recent delivery wins, escalations or issues needing resolve, ties to broader strategic priorities, and ways our team members can best assist in given situation.
Effective evangelist for Business Systems Analysis, Change Management (end-user readiness), and Product Management.
People Management
Coach, mentor, evaluate, and hold accountable IT Managers to ensure their effective management of their teams of BSAs. Coach, mentor, evaluate, and hold accountable Product Managers to ensure their effective delivery of committed product outcomes.
Cross-Collaboration
Liaise and partner with IT colleagues, Agencies, and other relevant parties to forward delivery of strategic priorities, identify and resolve issues. Leverage the strengths of staff across teams to mitigate risks, reduce or remove blockers, and deliver commitments on time and with quality.
Vision and Strategy
Define and set section goals and objectives that contribute to broader BASe and KCIT priorities. Cultivate IT and Agency Partners’ clear understanding of the roles, expectations, and value of PMA staff.
Delivery Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
Manage, monitor, and report performance of PMA against targets in consumable, visual, and informative format that invites either celebration or constructive feedback for improvement.
Ensure that the Enterprise Managers continuously evaluate and adapt the BSA service (including Change Management) to meet Agency Partner needs.
Ensure that Product Managers communicate compelling business cases and regularly execute measurable product outcomes and measurable user/customer impacts.
Hybrid Work: The work associated with this position will be performed through a combination of onsite work and telecommuting.
Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Work Schedule: The normal workweek for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative work schedules may be considered.
FLSA Status: This position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay
Duration: This Special Duty Assignment is estimated for 6 months.
