***This posting will be used to fill multiple summer internship positions in the Department of Transportation Headquarters building within Office of Planning and Office of Public Transit. ***
In the area of Planning the responsibilities include:
In the area of Public Transit, the responsibilities include:
- Serves as a backup for other team members as needed to ensure continuity of service to constituents, provides administrative and program management support for office staff as assigned.
- Assists with management of Office of Public Transit asset tracking systems associated with newly received vehicle titles as well as releasing old titles as required.
- Assists Office of Public Transit subrecipient agencies by phone, in person and virtually related to general program guidance, policies and procedures. Statewide travel may be required.
- Provides support in the update of Office of Public Transit policy and procedure documents by researching, interpreting and applying Federal Transit Administration guidance and circulars.
Pay Rate is between $17.00 - $23.00/hour depending on qualifications.
Requirements
A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
Applicants must be accepted into or currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university in Planning, Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field.
