Job Description

Summary

This job is for a Medical Director at the Caro Center, a state facility in Michigan, where you'll oversee medical services, supervise doctors and support staff, and help create policies to ensure high-quality patient care.

It's ideal for an experienced physician who enjoys leadership roles in a government health setting focused on helping people with mental health and stability needs.

Key Requirements

  • Possession of a medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
  • Four years of post-degree experience in practicing medicine or osteopathic medicine and surgery
  • Current Michigan licensure to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine and surgery
  • Ability to supervise medical services, including medicine, paramedical support, and consultations
  • Participation in developing policies and procedures for patient medical care
  • Possession of board certification in a specialty area (may be required)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance license (may be required)

Serves as the Medical Director at Caro Center. Supervises medical services provided in the medical care program, such as medicine, paramedical support services, and medical consultations. Participates in the development of new policies and procedures involving medical care provided for patients consistent with regulatory standards and applicable public status. Support through positive behavior and attitude the Affirmative Action Plan and program of the Department of Community Health and Caro Center.
