Full Job Description

You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST at NAS PATUXENT RIVER SECURITY DETACHMENT.

For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a technical representative of the Contracting Officer in the administration of security service contracts providing subject matter expert (SME) technical direction with respect to the specification and monitoring the performance of work under the contract; 2) Reviewing, verifying, endorsing, and approving installation-level reports, plans, and incoming and outgoing correspondence relating to the Performance Assessment Program; 3) Reporting potential performance problems and providing input for the preparation of contractor/service provider Performance Assessment Reporting System performance reports; AND 4) Tailoring, administering, and executing Performance Assessment Plans for security service contracts.

For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS=-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing security specific technical direction with respect to the specification and monitoring the performance of work under the contract; 2) Reviewing, verifying, endorsing, and approving security reports, plans, and incoming and outgoing correspondence relating to the Performance Assessment Program; 3) Reporting potential performance problems and providing input for the preparation of contractor/service provider Performance Assessment Reporting System performance reports; AND 4) Tailoring, administering, and executing Performance Assessment Plans for security service contracts.

  • You will monitor personnel to verify security and administrative duties are performed.
  • You will perform periodic reviews and inspections of contractor facilities and associated personnel records to assess protection against espionage and control of classified material.

  • You will analyze data to develop reports that identify system vulnerability and actions taken to resolve the issues.
  • You will suggest solutions to problems related to Loss Prevention.
