Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

This job involves working as a pest controller at a military golf course in Illinois, where you'll use safe methods to manage insects, weeds, and other hazards that could harm the grounds.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Scott AFB Golf Course. This is a Flexible position, 0-40 hours. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must possess and maintain a state pesticide ID card with "General Standards" certification.
Must have experience in grass seeds, fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides, algaecides, soil and sand mixtures. Skill in pesticide and toxic chemical disposal include proper use and safety procedures.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to manipulate both tractor and equipment controls at the the same time. Must be able to operate power and hand applicators in applying pesticides.
Major Duties:
Uses suitable integrated pest management control methods to reduce and control hazards to public health, unwanted vegetation and harmful insects that would cause damage to the golf course.
