The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Directorate for Mission Integration (MI) creates a consistent and holistic view of intelligence from collection to analysis and serves as the Director of National Intelligence's (DNI) principal advisor on all aspects of intelligence.
MI integrates mission capabilities, informs enterprise resource and policy decisions, and ensures the delivery of timely, objective, accurate, and relevant intelligence.

GS-14 (or exceptionally strong GS-13) with at least five years of visual analytic experience, excellent critical thinking and representational skills, experience briefing senior customers, and a broad understanding of US national security interests.
Knowledge of key US foreign policy and national security objectives for key regional and transnational issues, including the superior ability to stay informed of current trends and developments.
Knowledge of graphic design software and web, dynamic map or graphic, and/or multimedia programming/authoring.
Demonstrated ability in the use of a broad range of graphic tools and approaches to present data, including from such tools as: Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and mapping software, such as ArcGIS and Avenza MaPublisher.
Previous experience leading conceptualization sessions and assisting authors in discerning whether a visual is required, and if so, how to most effectively communicate the analytical story in a visual.
Demonstrated ability to listen to, clarify, and convey understanding of others' ideas, comments, and questions as well as demonstrated ability to integrate and build upon diverse opinions in a manner that encourages the formation of integrated solutions and positions.
Demonstrated ability to effectively represent office and management on sensitive, controversial, or difficult media and production issues.

The President's Daily Brief (PDB) is looking for a GS-14 (or exceptionally strong GS-13) graphic designer or cartographer with at least five years of visual analytic experience, excellent critical thinking skills, representational skills, experience briefing senior customers, and a broad understanding of US national security interests.
This officer will conceptualize and work with the visual team to create visuals for the PDB that convey analytic insight to PDB customers.
Manage complex, high-impact publications/media team projects, and lead the development of new and systematic processes for production management and quality control.
Responsible for managing the day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution of visual solutions for conveyance via a wide variety of formats and dissemination outputs, including mobile devices, web, and print.
Lead conceptualization sessions and assist authors in discerning how to most effectively communicate elements of the analytic story in an appropriate visual format.
Plan and coordinate highly complex visual projects; define project goals, scope, and requirements (i.e., audience, deadline, final product format, delivery methods) for all phases of planning and production; lead team projects and interpret customer requirements and project complexity to determine required team and technical resources needed for timely, accurate product delivery.
Take initiative on conceptualizing a wide-range of routine-to-complex projects including: charts and graphs, timelines, infographics, presentation visuals, illustrations, interactives, videos, animations, and physical models Apply principles and theories of graphic design, data visualization, statistics, cartography, geography, color theory, layout, and typography to review and implement designs that communicate effectively.
Monitor trends and patterns of change in external private industry publications/media businesses, as well as changes to customer requirements for media deliverables; anticipate the impact of changes on the team's ability to support ODNI mission needs and proactively plan and implement strategies to leverage change to the customer's advantage.
Develop best practices and standards for visual intelligence production for senior policymakers and customers.
Coordinate closely with the many disciplines involved in production, including the visual production team of designers and cartographers, and its leadership; authors; and the PDB staff.
Build and leverage diverse collaborative networks within the ODNI and across the IC. Participate in relevant IC groups that correspond to the production of visuals in finished intelligence.
Proactively seek feedback from PDB staff to improve the relevance, quality, and timeliness of PDB visuals.
