This job involves reviewing and deciding on parole and probation requests from courts across Pennsylvania, analyzing offender histories and court orders to ensure timely processing.
It also includes handling office tasks, prioritizing correspondence, and helping train others on related laws and procedures.
A good fit would be someone detail-oriented with experience in criminal justice analysis who enjoys research and meeting deadlines in a supportive team environment.

As a Parole Staff Technician 2, you will process requests for special probation and parole supervision from sixty Court of Common Pleas Judicial Districts.
You will independently decide to accept or reject cases by reviewing and analyzing acceptance criteria, court orders, and offender history files.
You will also review and prioritize incoming correspondence and provide office support.
This role requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills to process requests in a timely manner and comply with established deadline standards.
In addition, you will assist the Division Director and Parole Manager in conducting training workshops on special probation and parole rules, laws, regulations, and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week after sufficient training.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
