Requirements

As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will conduct a wide-range of indoor and outdoor maintenance and construction activities throughout Point State Park.

Assignments will entail utilizing tools of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, and other building trades to complete repairs to structures and facilities and replace or install varied equipment and amenities.

Within this role, it is essential to safely operate park vehicles and equipment, in addition to assisting with the overall care, maintenance, and upkeep of the equipment used.

You will also tend to grounds maintenance to include mowing, weeding, planting, trash removal, debris management, and maintaining proper signage throughout the park.

Courteous communication skills may be employed to assist park visitors by providing general information in a friendly and helpful manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.

The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.

The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately in March 2027.

  • Work schedule will vary. Work will be scheduled 5 days/37.5 hours per week and will include a 30-minute lunch.
    • Work may be scheduled on weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed.

  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
    • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
