Full Job Description



The Utah State Hospital is looking for skilled Paramedics to join our team. At Utah State Hospital, Paramedics will work as part of our professional treatment team to offer compassionate care to patients with mental illnesses with a wide range of ages and abilities.

Now offering a $2000 sign on bonus for new full time Paramedics!
(Payments will be paid out by the first six months of employment after signing a year commitment contact)

Minimum qualifications:
  • A current valid Paramedic license from the Utah Office of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness.
  • You must pass a criminal history check.

Typical duties:
  • Utilize the Medication Administration Record to administer medications and treatments to patients.
  • Document medication administration and manage controlled substance counts during shift.
  • Complete patient assessments and provide patient monitoring as indicated.
  • Document in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the treatment team.
  • Follow policies and procedures while providing care.
