You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • The position is located in the DCAA Office of General Counsel (OGC) and reports to the Deputy General Counsel (DGC) for Audit and Contract Litigation (DGC-A) under the general supervision of the General Counsel (GC).
  • Provides paralegal services in all facets of contract and civil litigation in support of Department of Defense (DOD), military departments (MILDEPs), and other executive agencies.
  • Manages logistical matters and other support for depositions, teleconferences and trials, coordinating with other Federal, State and local agencies, attorneys, witnesses and experts, and briefing staff attorneys on issues.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for discovery associated with civil litigation, including contract claims and appeals, torts, regulatory appeals, and other legal actions.
  • Conducts extensive, specialized, independent legal research of legal materials laws, legislative history, cases and orders (direct or primary sources), judicial and administrative precedential decisions, Federal regulations, and manuals.
