You will serve as a PAINTER in the EXPEDITIONARY MAINTENANCE CENTER of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: 1) Determines methods, techniques, for surface finishes; determine blends, matches, tints and tones to include CARC paints, Low-VOC polyurethanes requiring catalyst, urethanes, accelerators etc.; 2) Determines body work needed, conduct repair to various surfaces to include metal surfaces with DA sander, air file, needle gun etc.; 3) Applying CARC paint, paint insignias, markings, or other identifications and applies decals, use HVLP paint guns; and 4) Maintaining shop safety procedure, clean tools after completion of assignments.
