  • Experience in probation and parole work
  • Substitutions allowed: Associate degree with two years of military or certified law enforcement experience, or high school diploma with four years of such experience
  • Ability to conduct inspections of department offices, sections, and divisions
  • Participation in special deployments and other law enforcement duties as assigned
  • Under general supervision of OPR/Risk Manager

* 2 Positions available (60030325, 61151544).

*Office location to be determined.

Under the general supervision of the OPR/Risk Manager, assist with the investigations assigned to OPR, assists with reconciliation of complaints, conducts inspections of department offices, sections and divisions.

Conducts activities designed to detect, prevent and deter inefficiency, waste, fraud, corruption, abuse of power and other illegal activities in all agency processes, personnel matters, training, practices and policies.

Participates in special deployments and any other law enforcement duties as ordered by the department.

Requirements


A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses and experience in probation and parole work. An associate degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience or a high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses. C-1 Certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance with Section 23-23-40 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976

A Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of law enforcement experience and investigations background.
