Summary

This job involves overseeing and improving medical operations and communications for military health facilities in the Indo-Pacific region, including analyzing data to support crisis responses and informing leadership decisions.

About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Network Indo Pacific, located on the campus of Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu Hawaii.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing operational oversight and analysis for network-level medical communications and information operations; supporting medical operations centers and crisis response activities; evaluating healthcare operations to identify improvements; and managing or assigning organizational taskers for a multi-facility medical operation.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Major Duties:

  • Provide critical analysis and planning to ensure synchronized medical support for current and future operations throughout the Indo-Pacific AOR.
  • Apply a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess and improve network effectiveness.
  • Interpret data from numerous internal and external stakeholders in order to identify gaps and develop innovative solutions to enhance mission effectiveness.
  • Inform senior-leader decision-making through timely reports, predictive analysis, and continuous process improvement.
  • Process and manage Director’s Critical Information Requirements (DCIR)/ Commander’s Critical Information Requirements (CCIR), Manning Assistance Requests (MARs), and Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) taskings.
  • Exercise oversight of classified/unclassified operational communications, ensuring continuity of operations across multiple platforms.
