Job Description

Summary

This job involves analyzing and managing the sharing of sensitive military information with foreign partners in the U.S.

Pacific Fleet, ensuring everything follows strict rules to protect national security.

A good fit would be someone with experience in government or military operations who is detail-oriented, good at interpreting policies, and comfortable advising leaders on information risks.

It's based in Hawaii and requires a strong background in handling classified data.

Key Requirements

  • Knowledge of determining disclosure/release of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Classified Military Information (CMI)

Full Job Description

You will serve as a OPERATIONS ANALYST (FOREIGN DISCLOSURE) in the FOREIGN DISCLOSURE OFFICE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of COMMANDER, US PACIFIC FLEET.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing, interpreting, planning and drawing conclusions to resolve problems or make improvements to a foreign disclosure operations program.

Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Determining the disclosure/release of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Classified Military Information (CMI); 2) Interpreting and implementing policies, directives, and procedures related to foreign disclosure; and 3) Monitoring and maintaining awareness of new or revised national policies.

  • You will administer programs in accordance with applicable regulations, statutes, policies, and procedures in response to command unique problems and conditions.
  • You will present formal and informal presentations pertaining to operational information sharing issues.
  • You will provide a broad range of guidance to staff managers and supervisors on reliability of information and optimal sharing strategy.
  • You will provide advice and assistance to senior leadership regarding need and feasibility of disclosure.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining subject matter expertise on foreign disclosure policies pertaining to all categories of classified military information (CMI) and national intelligence.
  • You will ensure that any release of information is in accordance with all appropriate disclosure policies, procedures and COMPACFLT strategic goals.
  • You will plan and coordinate information sharing activities, resolving conflicts, and interpreting existing policy to make technical or operational decisions necessary to process all-source materials.
  • - You will manage the administrative aspects of the contact officer program and will brief prospective contact officers on their responsibilities and assist them in navigating administrative processes.
