Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes documented experience which demonstrates 1) collecting data from databases to create reports for the organization.

2) establishing and maintaining office files.

3) preparing variety of reports, documents and correspondence using office automated systems/databases 4) drafting and composing correspondence for management review and signature.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05.

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Major Duties:

  • Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.
  • Perform administrative tasks in support of the clinic day-to-day administrative operations to include scheduling patient appointments.
  • Project organization requirements for office supplies, computes cost, and other in house budget data.
  • Determine the disposition of all inquiries made relative to the overall activities of the clinic.
  • Track various administrative related deadlines and tasks for an office utilizing automated computer systems.
  • Serve as the office timekeeper which includes inputting time and attendance, identifying payroll discrepancies, and reconciling timekeeping reports.
  • Perform record keeping and data entry.
