About the Position: This position is located within the Army Health Clinic, Directorate of Branch Clinics in Presidio, California.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing clerical, administrative and logistical support essential to the operation of the department such as retrieving data from electronic records, compile records, maintain clinical civilian personnel record/security files, and prepare justification for the purchase/rental of office equipment.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

AND Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Major Duties:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support essential to the operation of the clinic.
  • Gather information and data from specified sources for reports.
  • Coordinate training for the staff and update regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare recurring financial reports to reflect current fund status as information is received.
  • Maintain clinic civilian personnel records and security files.
  • Operate a motor vehicle to pick up and deliver mail, parcel packages, documents, and administrative materials and supplies.
  • Maintain office files according to the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS).
