Full Job Description

You will serve as a OFFICE AUTOMATION ASSISTANT in the S-1 Adjutant's Office of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing clerical and administrative duties (e.g.

draft correspondences, receive visitors, answer telephone, maintain electronic calendar, mail distribution and maintain files).

Additional Information Continued: PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ).

To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.

ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.

  • Performs a variety of clerical and administrative services for the Battalion Commander, Adjutant, and Admin Chief.
  • Creates, copies, scans, edits, revises, retrieves, stores and prints a wide range of documents in final form from handwritten drafts.
  • Utilizes software systems including; Marine Corps Total Forces System (MCTFS), Operational Data Store Enterprise (ODSE), Marine On-Line (MOL), Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Office and Automated Message Handling System (AMHS).
  • Produces endorsements on a variety of correspondence and maintains established office files and records.
  • Receives visitors and telephone calls and determines nature of request and directs callers to appropriate staff.
