Summary

This job is for an Office Manager in a U.S.

Specialized experience is described as experience: providing technical and administrative supervision or oversight to paralegal specialists and legal assistants; ensuring the accuracy of an automated case tracking system; and overseeing the disposal and transfer of case files, and the coordination of grand jury proceedings to ensure a smooth operation.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.

If selected for this position you will be responsible for the administrative management of the White Plains office. This includes the supervision of all support staff.

Some of that supervision may take place through subordinates or in conjunction with other managers.

You will work closely with the managing attorney in the Branch office, and with the Administrative Officer to ensure every administrative aspect runs smoothly and adds significant value to the Branch office's litigation efforts.

Typical duties include: Handling all administrative aspects of the grand jury, ensuring its smooth operation. Ensuring all case docketing information is entered accurately and timely.

Working with the security office staff to ensure the safety of government personnel, records, and equipment.

Acting as the primary liaison with the District Court and the General Services Administration to ensure facility issues are addressed.

Determining performance ratings, assessing training needs, and addressing employee conduct and performance issues by taking disciplinary and/or performance-based action.

Interviewing and selecting applicants for positions supervised. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
