Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
In addition to the above requirement, applicant is required to demonstrate possession of a high degree of proficiency in typing and knowledge of word processing techniques. Must be a qualified typist.

Experience involving public contact or customer service is desirable. Experience in cash register operation, cash handling and cash accountability is required.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Performs primarily clerical work in support of administrative, management, and operational requirements.
Answers telephone calls and receives visitors, providing information from own knowledge and/or office files, or refers customer to the appropriate source.
Determines which established alternatives to use to resolve customer complaints/problems. Requires visitors to comply with sign-in/sign-out procedures.
Gathers information from files and documents to respond to inquiries.
Ensures children are properly enrolled and registered in school age, instructional, pre-teen and teen programs, and parents are familiar with the associated policies and procedures.
Establishes and maintains control suspense logs.
Ensures that enrollment and immunization records are updated as required, maintains medication logs, screens children for symptoms and signs of contagious disease, child abuse, and/or neglect.
Accepts applications for full time and hourly care of children and membership programs, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and received.
Enrolls children into appropriate program ensuring all required paperwork is completed and received. Operates computer to accomplish wide range of work assignments.
Uses word processing software to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, sort or calculate and retrieve data for reports; uses graphic software to provide charts and reports.
Transmits and retrieves documents and messages electronically using computers that are networked or linked to other computers or workstations.
Performs cashier duties to include, but not limited to, collection of funds, recording payments from parents, providing receipts upon request, reconciling register and balancing.
Inputs and reviews weekly time for employees in SETs. Creates, calculates and routes all monthly labor transfers to appropriate offices. Balances and reviews monthly financials.
Registers youth for instructional classes and creates receiving reports for instructors. Follows local policies for collecting late fees and charges. Ensures funds are properly handled and stored.
Performs other related duties such as; Operations statement, USDA, Childcare services, daily 1876 paperwork, GLAF'S, labor transfers etc.
Provides quality customer service to all external and internal customers. Helps maintain a file plan and stages files and records as required.
Reviews applicable regulations and directives to determine appropriate actions to take or recommend. Performs other related duties as assigned.
