This job is for a nursing instructor at a technical college in South Carolina, where you'll teach nursing students practical skills and classroom lessons to prepare them for healthcare careers.

2.Assist in the development of nursing curricula for students in nursing programs.
3.Evaluate courses in the nursing curriculum.

TEACHING PERFORMANCE
1.Teach courses as assigned and in accordance with the established syllabi.
2.Provide high quality instruction for students in the nursing program using varied instructional delivery techniques including clinical rotations.
3.Evaluate the accomplishments of students on a regular basis.
4.Participate in the Faculty Performance Management System.
5.Achieve at least a 3.5 on student evaluations and satisfactory peer/supervisor evaluations.
STUDENT ADVISEMENT
1.Advise and maintain records of assigned student advisees in accordance with division policies and procedures.
2.Provide effective academic advisement for students enrolled in the Nursing Program by using the services of staff specialists and coordinators.
3.Maintain office hours as required and needed by students, faculty, and advisees.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
1.Represent the Division and College by participating in community and professional activities.
2.Participate in professional continuing education opportunities.
3….Maintain a current awareness of educational innovations and trends appropriate to nursing education.
COLLEGE AND/OR COMMUNITY SERVICE
1.Actively participate in activities to select, recruit, admit, and retain students.
2.Maintain contacts with appropriate professional and community organizations/individuals in the College service area.
3.Serve actively on College committees.
4….Participate in Division of Health Sciences meetings as assigned.
INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT
1.Maintain proper control and effective use of all physical facilities and supplies in the assigned division.
2.Prepare reports in cooperation with division dean for input into the planning/reporting system.
3.Insure communication of policies, procedures, and campus information to all students.

Minimum of a Master’s of Science in Nursing required, minimum three years clinical experience required and two years teaching experience preferred. Recent acute care experience preferred.
