Requirements
Working under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, you will provide essential support to residents by following their individualized care plans with precision and professionalism. Your clinical responsibilities will include monitoring and documenting key health indicators such as vital signs, height, and weight, as well as the careful collection of specimens for diagnostic testing. Throughout these tasks, you will be expected to maintain a safe environment for all residents by strictly adhering to established infection control protocols and universal health care precautions. Additionally, you will serve as a compassionate caregiver by assisting residents with their daily personal hygiene needs, including bathing, dressing, and thorough oral, hair, and nail care. Your role will also involve managing the comfort and nutrition of residents through tasks such as maintaining clean linens, distributing food trays, and providing assistance during meals. To ensure continuity of care, you will diligently record all services and observations, always treating each resident with the utmost dignity and respect.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment (8 hours per day; 40 hours per week)
- Work hours are 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3rd shift), rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be required to work every other weekend.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,294.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
- This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional Requirement:- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
