This job involves driving a mobile snack bar truck to different locations on a military base to sell fast food, snacks, and small retail items like candy and cigarettes to Marines and civilians who can't easily access regular dining facilities.
The role requires stocking the truck, handling cash sales, maintaining inventory, and providing friendly customer service while following a set schedule and safety rules.

A minimum of one year of experience that demonstrates experience in selling retail food items, business mathematics, and cash handling. A valid driver's license is required.
Incumbent is subject to drafts, noise, and varying temperatures. Exposed to weather and temperature extremes outside.
Work is done outside and incumbent is subject to discomfort from long periods in hot sun and sometimes to chilly or rainy weather.

Major Duties:
Provides mobile snack bar service to military and civilian personnel that do not have access to a food service facility.
Operates a mobile canteen unit and sells a variety of fast-food items and a limited variety of retail items such as cigarettes, gum, and candy.
Stocks food service canteen truck with food and beverages.
Drives to various locations, according to a previously established schedule and route, ensuring that prescribed routes are followed and that scheduled stops are made on a timely basis.
Observes safety and traffic requirements and regulations. May operate a motor vehicle, with gross vehicle weight of up to 10,000 pounds.
May prepare requisitions for supplies, equipment and daily resale and consumable items, keep supplies neatly displayed and stowed; always maintains adequate stock.
Maintains inventory and operating records and required reports. Serves customers, collects money, makes change, and is responsible for own change fund. Prepares Daily Salesperson's Cash Report.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.
Ask questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Maintains quality assurance of goods and services. Take action to solve problems quickly.
Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
