This job involves supporting logistics operations for U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, such as managing property records, handling purchases, overseeing vehicle fleets, and coordinating facility maintenance in Baltimore, Maryland.
It's a GS-11 level role (with potential for GS-12) that requires one year of specialized experience in these areas or equivalent advanced education.
A good fit would be someone organized and detail-oriented with a background in administrative support, procurement, or facilities management, who enjoys working in a government security environment.
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Office of the Director of Field Operations, Mission Support Division, located in Baltimore, MD.

Experience GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Maintaining property records, assisting with physical inventories, and helping prepare routine property reports.
Assisting in preparing purchase requests or justifications, reconciling monthly purchase card statements, and maintaining required documentation.
Maintaining vehicle records, and assisting with fleet management program duties such as acquisition, inventory, and disposal.
Entering and tracking facility repair or service requests in a facilities management system, and helping to track environmental, security, or safety inspections and related findings.
Communicating with management, staff, or outside stakeholders to obtain or provide information on logistics, property, fleet, or facilities processes, and resolving routine issues by applying established procedures and guidelines.
Experience GS-12: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Managing or leading logistics-related mission support functions such as property, procurement, fleet, and/or facilities management for an organizational unit or office.
Conducting property inventories and facilitating and maintaining property records and reports in accordance with established policies and directives.
Researching suppliers, procuring goods and services, executing purchases, reconciling statements, and maintaining documentation.
Overseeing the fleet card program and fleet management program including ordering, receiving, inventorying, transferring, and excessing fleet vehicles.
Coordinating facility support activities, processing environmental, security, and safety inspections and tracking assessments findings. Education Substitution GS-11: A Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree, three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.M degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for experience required at this level.
Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise three years of graduate study.
If that information is not available, use 54 semester or 81 quarter hours.
Combining Education and Experience: Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade level, and may be computed by first determining your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining your education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages.
The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level.
Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify for positions at the grade GS-11.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 04/10/2026.

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO).
The purpose of the position is to plan and carry out a wide variety of mission support duties for the Field Office relative to logistics, procurement, fleet management, and associated functions.
This position starts at a salary of 85,447 (GS-11, Step 1) to 133,142 (GS-12, Step 10).
Major duties for this position include: Providing technical expertise and guidance and performing a variety of services related to logistics, supplies, services and fleet management.
Administering the property management program, including acquisition, receiving, transferring, excessing, reutilization, repairing, and retiring of property.
Performing procurement and supply activities such as identifying inventory deficiencies, procuring supplies, and maintaining documentation as directed by agency policies and directives.
Conducting records management and managing the fleet card program activities, including performing audits, extracting reports, reporting fraud, and processing override requests.
Coordinating and facilitating repairs and ensuring facility repair requests are recorded in the facility management system.
