This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Tri-County County Community Mental Health Center, 1234 Commerce Drive, Dillon, SC 29536.

As the Mental Health Professional, under direct supervision, provide clinical mental health services to patients, including Children, Adolescents, and Families (CAF), within a community mental health program.

Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional (MHP)

Provide advanced outpatient mental health services to TCCMHC patients and their families in Marlboro and Dillon Counties using diverse treatment interventions and methods, such as individual, family, and group therapies, assessments, and crisis interventions.

Provide intensive in-home services to children and families based on identified needs. Meet agency patient care hours standards.

Ensure all assigned caseloads and clinical records are in accordance with SCDBHDD -OMH Quality Assurance (QA) standards. Adhere to Corporate Compliance policies and procedures.

Act in a culturally competent manner. Shall comply with the SCDBHDD -OMH Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements in performing their job duties.

  • Utilize collaborative documentation to facilitate effective and efficient provision of therapeutic services.

  • Manage and review caseload for MDFT program compliance, including caseload size, timely discharge, engagement, transition, and follow-up

  • For MHP Student Loan Repayment:

    This position MAY be eligible for SCOMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the appliable position.

    Requirements

    • A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
    • One (1) year of professional post master's experience with target population.
    • Valid Driver's License.
    Additional Requirements:
    • Sitting or standing for long periods of time
    • Lifting requirement of 20 lbs.
    • Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies.

    Qualifications

    • Licensure in a specific field of study
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

    • Be able to work independently.
    • Be able to coordinate appropriate services for children and families in the community setting.
    • Have working knowledge of computers, computer basics, and computer applications.
