This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health.
This position is housed in the Kershaw clinic, located at 2611 Liberty Hill Road, Camden, S.C. 29020, and provides services throughout the Santee-Wateree catchment area.
Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional:Provide direct services to patients using cognitive behavioral approaches and relapse prevention and uses outreach and motivational interviewing techniques in earlier stages of change readiness.
Perform all job duties and provide all services and documentation in compliance with CARF, SCOMH, SWMHC, Quality Assurance, Compliance, HIPAA, Transcultural and Productivity Standards, Policies and Procedures.
Complete documentation according to QA/SCOMH standards, Comply with Corporate Compliance Policy, and Risk Management Plan, and Ensures timely completion of prior authorizations.
Complete all annual required trainings to include Safety, MAPS, Cultural Affairs, and clinical trainings. Demonstrates adherence to CARF standards, and SCOMH and Center policies and Procedures.
State Requirements: A Masters’ degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences or a related field. Internal requirements: Must be licensed as a Licensed Addiction Counselor in SC or Master Addiction Counselor.
