This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center, 2100 Charlie Hall Blvd, Charleston, SC 29414.
Under general supervision, the School Based Mental Health Professional I will provide mental health counseling and case management services to child and adolescent patients open to the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center. Services to be provided in the school, clinics and community settings.Responsibilities for the School Based Mental Health Professional I:
This position requires the ability to bend, stoop, climb, drive from location to location, and lift up to 5 pounds.
In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care.
This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience.

A Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling or other behavioral discipline deemed equivalent by BHDD.
