This position is with the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health (OMH), Beckman Center for Mental Health Services, 1547 Parkway Greenwood, SC 29646.
This position will be based at the Greenwood Mental Health Clinic, with community-based service provision throughout Beckman's catchment area as member of the multidimensional family therapy (MDFT) Team.
Under general supervision, the mental health professional I will provide treatment services to the adult population and/or children, adolescents and their families who have serious mental illness. Multi-dimensional family therapy (MDFT) intensive services will be provided to children and adolescents in the community at risk of out of home placement, due to disruptive behaviors.Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional I:
Provide mental health services in a culturally competent manner to include but not limited to assessments, crisis management, individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy to seriously mentally ill adults and children, adolescents and their families.
Formulate plan of care and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring documentation is in compliance with OMH and Beckman Center Quality Assurance Standards.
To be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care.
This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience.
