Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is located at US Army Medical Activity Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: working in a clinical setting maintaining personnel records; maintaining accountability of active and inactive files and records to reflect the status and statistical data; receiving telephone calls and visitors, and processing of medical information.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Major Duties:

  • Provide clerical/administrative and automation support for FAP and/or Social Work Services using multiple computer systems and technologies.
  • Maintain records and information directories and assembles records in sequential and chronological order.
  • Control a filing system of open and closed records for the Family Advocacy Program.
  • Provide assistance in the management, evaluation, and reporting of child and intimate partner abuse cases.
  • Receive reports of child or intimate partner abuse and assists reporting person or agency in providing pertinent and concise information necessary for risk assessment and timely intervention to prevent further violence.
