Requirements

In this role, you will be a professional staff member within the Bureau of Managed Care Operations (BMCO) of the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS). You will report directly to the Clinical Operations Supervisor in the Clinical Operations Section, which is part of the Division of Quality and Special Needs Coordination (DQSNC). While primarily based in the central office, you may be required to travel throughout Pennsylvania for essential meetings and on-site monitoring activities. Your key responsibilities will involve representing DQSNC and assuming clinical responsibility for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of daily operations for an assigned HealthChoices Managed Care Organization. This oversight includes quality management, utilization management, and quality improvement initiatives. You will function as a vital member of a multidisciplinary contract management and monitoring team, contributing essential clinical expertise and insight. Additionally, you will provide crucial advisory and consultative support to other bureaus within DHS and to various state agencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Three years of professional experience in the field of medical assistance, health care services, or human services; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Special Requirements:
  • You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license.

Other Requirements:
