Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900
Typical requirements: Executive-level leadership experience. Senior executive qualifications required.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role involves leading and improving Medicaid programs that provide health screenings, diagnoses, and treatments for children and youth in Iowa, ensuring better access to care for families.
You'll develop policies, work with healthcare providers and teams, and research ways to enhance these services based on regulations and best practices.
It's ideal for a nurse with pediatric experience who enjoys analyzing health policies and collaborating to make a real difference in child health.

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Medicaid, is seeking a Medicaid Policy Specialist to lead initiatives focused on Pediatric and Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) programs.

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to three years of full-time work in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations.All of the following (a and b):Three years of full-time work experience in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations; and A total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.All of the following (a, b, and c):One year of full-time work experience in project management; management analysis; data science; business systems analysis; or professional-level program administration, development, or operations; andA total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience; andA total of two years of graduate-level education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where twenty-four semester hours of accredited graduate college or university coursework in business administration, industrial management, statistics, natural science, or a closely-related field equals one year of full-time experience.
