Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This media specialist role in the Tulare County Sheriff's Department involves creating and managing communications like press releases and public announcements to share information with the media and community.
It also includes planning media strategies, coordinating public relations events, and sometimes acting as the department's voice to the press.
A good fit would be someone with a background in journalism or communications who enjoys writing, organizing events, and working in a fast-paced government environment.

This recruitment will establish an employment list to fill current and any future vacancies for those County departments that have this position, which are the District Attorney, Probation, and Sheriff offices.
The anticipated life of the employment list is six months.
