This job involves helping ensure that economic development programs in Michigan follow rules and guidelines by reviewing applications, processing payments, and creating reports for grants, loans, and tax credits.
You'll work with businesses and communities receiving funding, provide support on processes, and analyze data to improve programs.

The Compliance Specialist assists with the compliance activities related to various current programs administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) including the 21st Century Jobs Fund, the Michigan Community Revitalization Program (MCRP), the Revitalization and Placemaking program, the Revitalization and Placemaking 2.0 program, the Build MI Communities program, legislative grants, the Transformational Brownfield Plan program, the Michigan Talent Partnership program, as well as legacy loan, grant and tax credit programs such as Brownfield programs.
The position monitors and coordinates internal compliance processes for assigned programs; maintains knowledge of economic development loan and equity transactions; creates and manages reports using Salesforce; serves as a contact to awardees, as well as providing internal and external customer support.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Two years of related experience.
