About the position: This position is located at the RAF Croughton Central Warehouse. Moderate physical effort lifting and carrying supplies, materials, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

Heavier items are moved with equipment or the assistance of workers. Required to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. Bends, stoops, and works in tiring and uncomfortable positions.

This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 03/06/2026 The area of consideration for this vacancy announcement is citizens, permanent residents, and legal residents of the United States (US) who reside within the local commuting area (60 mile radius) of RAF Croughton, United Kingdom (UK), or will do so within the next 30 days.

Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country. Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas.

Permanent and legal residents of the US must be citizens of a NATO country, unless authorized to reside in the UK as a dependent of an employee who serves in support of the US Visiting Forces.

Eligible applicants must possess a US-issued social security number and be able to provide documentation proving residency status in the UK. Documentation could include PCS Orders, UK Visa, etc.

Applicants cannot be 'ordinarily resident'.

A person is considered to be 'ordinarily resident' if they have resided in the United Kingdom (UK) for more than 366 days without an affiliation to the US Visiting Forces.

Time spent in the UK as an employee, or dependent of an employee, of a US agency serving and supporting the US Visiting Forces (i.e., active duty military, federal civilian, AAFES, Red Cross, one of the contract universities, a military banking facility or federal credit union, or US government contractors) is not counted toward being 'ordinary resident'.

In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between the US and the UK, British citizens (including UK dual citizens) may not apply for US NAF positions; however, they may be eligible to apply for local national positions on base.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Must have experience and knowledge of methods used in receiving, storing, and issuing of goods and supplies. Must be able to organize, arrange, and remove stock.

Skill in using material handling equipment including mechanized and manual lifting equipment used in warehousing task. Must be physically able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of and skill in operating vehicle in gross weight of up to 10,000 pounds.

Must be able to follow traffic and safety regulations, practices, and procedures pertaining to motor vehicle operations. Must be able to do preventative maintenance on vehicles.

Must possess an appropriate, valid driver's license as required by local/state law. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.

Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier I Investigation. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Major Duties:

Assist with the off-loading of shipments using a variety of powered and non-powered equipment.

Receives, counts, and checks incoming shipments to ensure vendor has delivered the type and quantity of items ordered.

Records quantity received and expiration date of items purchased on appropriate documents. Based on knowledge of warehousing plan, selects appropriate storage location.

Places items in selected location by stacking, palletizing and storing items in groups considering their use, size, shape, quantity, vulnerability, and possibility of contamination to or from other items.

Selects items for shipment or issue. Properly packages selected items for shipping taking into account distance and method of transportation.

Prepares shipping documents with required data for manual or electronic inventory systems.

Obtains authorized signatures on issue documentation and keeps necessary copy of requisition to account for issues. Operates a variety of vehicles that weigh up to 10,000 pounds.

Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by appropriate powered equipment.

Ensures cargo is properly distributed and secures loads to protect from damage or loss in transit or during loading/unloading process.

Performs operator responsibilities and completes required vehicle use paperwork. Reports all incidents, damage, or accidents to supervisor without delay.

Assist in end of month inventories of stock in storage locations by accurately counting items and reporting figure to supervisor.

Ensures that supplies and equipment are safeguarded and secure at all times. Adheres to fire and safety regulations. Ensure food security requirements are adhered to.

When required assists supervisor with the purchase of items using a Purchase Card. Adhere to requirements for the use of the Purchase Card..
