Full Job Description

This position is located at Fort Leavenworth United States Disciplinary Barracks - Sales Store. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1.

Demonstrated ability and knowledge directly related to the duties to be performed as identified above. 2.

Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision, and the ability to interpret instructions and specifications. 3.

Position requires the incumbent to posses a valid Driver's License, and the ability to obtain a Government License. Major Duties:

  • Operates a gasoline or diesel powered vehicles with gross weight of not more than 26,000 pounds. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts, either gasoline or electrically powered, while receiving incoming shipments or items.
  • Signs shipping and receiving reports. Reports overages, shortages, or damaged items to supervisor or other responsible person according to established procedures.
  • Within the general warehousing plan completes assignments without instructions. Work is subject to spot checks for accuracy and completeness.
  • Follows established procedures for reporting damaged, tampered, or deteriorated items. Unusual problems or difficulties encountered are brought to the attention of the supervisor.
  • Selects and sets up proper storage areas for materials within the general warehouse plan considering size, shape, quantity, use, and possibility of damage, deterioration, and contamination to or from other items.
  • Selects and assembles items for shipment or issue. Assembles items for shipping according to information on receiving vouchers. Checks condition of shipping containers prior to loading and ensure shipments are loaded into proper conveyances.
