Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves handling materials in a military hospital warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment while operating forklifts and vehicles to move items safely.
It's a temporary role up to 13 months that could extend longer with approval.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on warehouse experience who can work independently and follows safety rules in a fast-paced medical setting.
About the Position: This position is located Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Tennessee. Position may be filled as a Term Appointment Not to Exceed (NTE) 13 Months.
Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Materials Handler (Motor Vehicle Operator/Forklift Operator) without more than normal supervision.
Ability to perform the full range of warehousing operations and function skilled in receiving, storing and issuing materials, supplies and equipment; Prepare and review inventory to generate system reports; screening and identify shipping and receiving; review documents for discrepancies; direct and organize medical and non-medical items to proper storage location in accordance to regulations.
Operate mechanized equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc) and vehicles to transport materials; And sufficiently skilled in materials handling equipment.

They may lift and carry items that weigh up to 8 kilograms (40 pounds). The heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.
At the grade 6 level, work is done inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lighted.
Materials handlers are regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapers, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injury from falling stock or mechanized work areas.
When working in hazardous materials areas, they may be subject to exposure from radiation, toxins, explosive hazards, or chemical fumes.
Work may require wearing protective clothing such as hardhats, steel toed shoes, rubber gloves, masks, and rubber aprons. Major Duties:
