This job involves handling and organizing materials in a naval training center's logistics branch, including loading pallets, checking inventory, scanning barcodes, and using tools and equipment to move items safely.
It's a hands-on role focused on warehouse operations and data entry using automated systems.
A good fit would be someone with practical experience in inventory management, comfortable operating machinery like forklifts, and reliable in following procedures.
You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER (FLO) in the Logistics, Training Repairable Item Management (TRIM) Branch of NETPDC.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job.
Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible.
1) Utilizing automated equipment to enter and extract data; 2) Using hand tools for selecting stock, operating utility vehicles, and operating a forklift; and 3) Demonstrating knowledge of inventory management procedures.
