About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, headquartered in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command, staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces.

The command, through its 66 military processing locations (Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services.

  • As a Management Analyst, you will:
  • Assist the Branch Chief in the overall management of the Command’s applicant processing policy and training responsibilities.
  • Support Sector Staff Assistance and Inspector General inspection visits.
  • Monitor and provide operational guidance to two sector headquarters and USMEPCOM processing locations.
  • Prepare and conduct oral briefings and prepares written reports.
  • Review and assess problem and resolve issues regarding the daily functions of USMEPCOM processing locations to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Resolve complex issues internally and externally that cannot be resolved by other management analysts based on guidance found in existing policies, regulations, and precedents.
  • Conduct Command and directorate-hosted events.
  • Serve as a project/team leader for the operational team of directorate and/or other directorate staff providing visionary, management, and technical guidance to the MEPS.
