Job Description

Summary

Full Job Description

This position is located at multiple Aquatics facilities on Fort Bragg, NC. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Army NAF paysetting rules apply to this vacancy.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience in pool maintenance and general maintenance work.

This includes knowledge of automated water quality standards and computer use as relates to automated pool maintenance. Major Duties:

  • Performs all types of pool and spray pad maintenance, including checking and adjusting pool chemistry, sweeping down pools, vacuuming, hosing collectors and decks, and cleaning water and deck filters.
  • Inspects and adjust swimming pool filtration system; inspects, maintains and repairs pool chlorinating system; inspects, maintains and adjusts swimming pool heating system; inspects, lubes and adjusts pumps and motors.
  • Performs building maintenance work, (cleans boiler and chemical room and washes down locker rooms); performs minor plumbing repair for aquatic facilities (repairs sinks, toilets, faucets and related equipment).
  • Orders supplies and chemicals for pools, spray pad and building; keeps inventory. Operates a government vehicle to pick up supplies and transport equipment/supplies to various work locations. Performs other duties as assigned.
