About the position: This position will be assigned to the Lodging Facility located on Tyndall AFB, FL .

This will be a Regular Part Time position with 20 to 34 hours per week, Employee NAF Benefits such as health, dental, 401K, and retirement are authorized for this position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have increasingly responsible experience in the following: (1) The use of hand tools and small machinery. (2) Minor facility repair and grounds maintenance.

(3) Experience must show the applicant has general experience in warehousing techniques, experience in operating a motor vehicle and familiarity with plumbing repairs.(4) The ability to communicate in English, effectively both orally and in writing.

(5) Must be able to life objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more. (6) Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.

(7) Employee is required to possess/maintain a valid Florida Driver's License and obtain/maintain a valid government operator's license. (8) Must have a satisfactory local agency check.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

Including but not limited to: GROUND MAINTENANCE: Ensures all lodging areas are free of trash, cigarette butts and other debris Mows grass, edges/trims walkways, trims and shapes shrubbery.

Clears debris from rooftops and cleans gutters. Using sprinkler system Able to operate equipment such as rakes, shovels, clippers, hedgers, mowers, weed eaters, pressure washers, etc.

PAINTING: Prepares surfaces and applies paint, stain, or protective finishes to equipment, fixtures, furnishings, and various other types of surfaces within lodging facilities, using standard application methods.

PLUMBING: Unclogs sinks, commodes, and urinals MAINTENANCE/REPAIRS/INSTALLATION: Performs preventative maintenance, scheduled or otherwise Replaces light blubs and HVAC filters.

CAPENTRY: Construct, alter and repair wooden substitute items and make modifications and improvements to indoor and outdoor facilities. Mounts fire extinguisher brackets on walls.
