As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform a wide variety of maintenance and grounds keeping functions to help maintain the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence inside and out and to ensure smooth operations during events.
Responsibilities involve working individually, as a lead worker, or in a group to complete groundskeeping duties, minor plumbing and electric work, carpentry and painting projects, and the repair and maintenance of small engines or other equipment.
Your work will also be critical for supporting construction and renovation projects, practical security matters such as placing and removing traffic barricades and security equipment, and responding to emergency calls in the event of adverse weathers conditions or emergencies.
With our team, you will support the Residence’s unique role blending private family life and public service.
This includes take equal care in performing periodic maintenance on everyday fixtures and household appliances, as well as in moving and appropriately storing furnishings and historical objects in preparation for events.
Effective customer service skills will be key for when your presence is needed during public and private events to ensure that all aspects of service meet the highest standards of guest experience.
