The Pennsylvania State Police is looking for a committed Maintenance Repairman to join Troop J in Lancaster.
This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including custodial and grounds maintenance, along with skilled repair work in areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and other essential trades.

In this position, you will be responsible for painting, sanding, and staining walls and other surfaces throughout the facility.
Maintenance duties include repairing or replacing damaged flooring; clearing clogged drains and fixing leaking faucets; completing minor electrical wiring repairs; repairing or replacing light fixtures; and performing various minor repairs to doors, locks, furniture, equipment, and windows.
Responsibilities will include maintaining the surrounding outdoor areas by shoveling snow, sweeping, and clearing walkways of snow and ice; keeping grounds free of litter and debris; and plowing driveways and parking areas.
Groundskeeping responsibilities include mowing lawns, trimming grass around fixed objects, pruning shrubs and trees, weeding, removing leaves, and watering as needed.
The role requires operating and maintaining tools and machinery used for snow removal and groundskeeping, including changing oil, replacing filters and spark plugs, cleaning equipment, and sharpening blades.
In addition, you will perform custodial duties such as cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, mirrors, furniture, walls, and other surfaces; empty trash and recycling containers and restocking custodial supplies.
