Summary
This job involves painting the insides and outsides of public buildings, structures, and equipment, including preparing surfaces by cleaning and removing old paint, and applying paints, varnishes, or simple repairs.

Key Requirements

Full Job Description
Under supervision, does outside and inside paintings of buildings, structures and equipment; and does related work as required.
Requirements
Removes old paint; washes and cleans surfaces prepatory to painting. Paints interiors and exteriors of public buildings; varnishes woodwork.
Paints street equipment, playground equipment, bridges, railings, fences. Fills, shellacs and varnishes desks, tables and furniture. May do some simple spray painting, patching and glazing.
Mixes and thins paints and varnishes as instructed.
Qualifications
2 years of experience required in related work. Massachusetts Driver's License may be required. Must be a resident of the city of Boston.Additional Information
