This job involves leading a team of skilled tradespeople in maintaining, installing, and repairing various systems at a naval facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC LEADER in the PRODUCTION DIVISION of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE by 1) Leading and directing Electricians, Air-Conditioning Mechanics, Heating/Boiler Plant Equipment Mechanics, Industrial Equipment Mechanics, Electronics Mechanics, Sheet Metal Mechanics, or Welders in proper work methods; 2) Instructing others in planning, laying out, and completing installation, modification, and repair of systems; 3) Ensuring works properly interpret building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering documents, drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to plan work and make calculations; 4) Motivating and leading other workers in accomplishing work of the unit; and 5) Briefing supervisor on accomplishment of work objectives and work status.
