No strict education is needed, but you must show through past work that you can handle the role with minimal oversight.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic DIB & MRTFB in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned & operated manufacturing center located in New York.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Machinist Supervisor ~ without more than normal supervision which includes: (1) Supervising or leading artisans in a manufacturing/industrial environment; (2) Setting work schedules, establishing priorities, and reviewing employees work in progress or upon completion; (3) Planning work sequences to have work completed by established deadlines; and (4) Working knowledge of machining processes, equipment and tools to explain machining operation requirements, methods and procedures.
