Requirements

As a Livestock Worker 1, you will be responsible for closely monitoring assigned horses, collecting urine and blood samples for testing, packaging samples according to procedures, and accurately completing all required records and documentation.

You will also assist with any other necessary farm activities to include maintaining a clean work area and bedding the stalls.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Temporary, part-time employment
  • Work hours are 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday, and 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Sunday.
  • Work schedule is vendor controlled and may change as determined by the racing schedule.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Experience in general farm work; and such training as may have been gained through completion of the eighth school grade; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Post Employment Requirement:

  • This position will require possession of a Commission Employee License once hired.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • Experience working with and around horses.
