Summary
This entry-level Licensed Practical Nurse position at a Michigan Veterans Home involves providing hands-on care to veterans in a long-term care facility, including helping with daily needs, giving medications, and working under the guidance of a registered nurse.
It's ideal for newly licensed LPNs who enjoy supporting elderly or veteran residents in a supportive team environment. The role offers flexible shifts and a signing bonus for eligible new hires.
Key Requirements
- Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing
- Current Michigan licensure as a Practical Nurse
- Ability to provide individualized patient care under RN supervision

- Contribution to patient assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Willingness to work in a 24-hour long-term care facility with all shifts available

The Licensed Practical Nurse E9 is an entry level LPN. A nurse occupying this position provides a full range of individualized member care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The LPN provides input into assessments, contributes to planning member care, implements and evaluates the effectiveness of member care, and administers prescribed medications.
