This job involves helping local businesses get licensed, checking their applications, collecting fees, and ensuring they follow city rules to keep the community safe and fair.
You'll do fieldwork like visiting vendors, issuing violation notices, and sometimes testifying in court if needed.
It's a good fit for someone organized and patient who likes working with people and has experience in inspections, collections, or compliance.

College coursework in a business administration, public administration, criminal justice program, or related field may be substituted for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis (proof required)*.
